Week 6 Reflection

This week was an exiting an interesting week. Paula and Karen teach us how to using excel to record students grade and how to use several mathematical functions such as sum, average and using the "if" function. They did a awesome job! I totally understood everything they taught. However, if I was to teach the class, instead of just going about explaining to them what to do, I would provide the students with the the grades for each students and ask them to try figure out how to command the computer to find the average grade and total for each student.  This way they will be actively engage, thus resulting in meaningful learning as described by David Ausbel ( a constructive theorist).
